Can foreigners open a bank account in Cambodia?
The simple answer is yes but it takes some preparations, most importantly you will need a 6 month visa or longer, this is fairly easy to do on Visa On Arrival you simply pay 5 USD extra for the Regular Visa and then use an agent to convert it once you enter Cambodia, it takes about 7 working days and then you will get a 6 month or a 1 year VISA no questions asked. With that in hand just go to any bank such as ABA and open a bank account and they will issue you with a debit card as well as APP access so you can scan and pay at all the merchants that supports it and there are lots of them.
